May Weddings – Past and Present at Poco Diablo Resort in Sedona

One of our favorite months to host a Sedona wedding is during the month of May. With warmer temperatures and blooming flowers, longer days and sunny skies – May is just about the most perfect month for a special Sedona wedding.

Throughout the years we have been honored to host a number of May weddings at Poco Diablo Resort. We have very fond memories of our special bridal couples and many times they return to Sedona to stay with us for their to celebrate their wedding anniversary. We love visiting with our returning brides and grooms and always welcome them to our resort.

Last week were were thrilled to see Robert and Stefani who got married here last May. They came up to celebrate one year of marriage and enjoyed their stay with us. Their wedding was bright and fun with elegant purple linens and so many personal touches.

Another of our May couples, Steve and Kassie, are big fans of Poco Diablo Resort. We hosted their May wedding in 2011 and they came up last year for a visit, with another visit scheduled next month here at Poco. Their wedding was an exciting event with Native American Dancers and Performers kicking off the wedding celebration. We still talk about their wonderful wedding here at Poco.

Last May we enjoyed hosting the colorful wedding of Sunny and Duncan. The additional decor really reflected on their culture and taste. They had a wonderful time and we enjoyed hearing from them following their wedding in 2012.

April and Brian’s wedding tool place over the Memorial Day Weekend last year. The couple visited a number of time from Tucson and we loved their color scheme and decor.  Dancing on the Rose Terrace was great fun and everyone had a wonderful time.

We were thrilled to receive these lovely photographs from Genie and Jess with Birdsong Wedding Photography taken of Nichole and Hector’s wedding at Poco Diablo Resort. They had outstanding wedding vendors including Hair and Make-up artist Patricia Vega and Guitarist Brian David. They were a very sweet couple and we really enjoyed hosting their wedding here. They were happy to run off property to take advantage of the dramatic scenery that Sedona has to offer and have amazing photographs from Schnebly Hill Road. Genie and Jess created magic with their lovely wedding photographs as I am sure you will agree. Enjoy and dream about your own special Sedona wedding here at Poco Diablo Resort.

Weddings at Poco Diablo Resort in April – a Perfect Time in Sedona

We were honored to host two additional weddings at Poco Diablo Resort this past month. When we first met Thomas and Patricia, they knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding in Sedona. They reserved the Poco Diablo Ballroom one year in advance and had their theme all picked out.

When we talked about the colors for the their wedding, Patricia and Thomas told me that they were going to have a Superman theme for their wedding. We were excited that our linen colors worked out for this special theme and we were really looking forward to their fun and unique wedding.

We enjoyed working with Patricia and Thomas on the months leading up to their wedding and always anxious to learn more details about their wedding decor.

Thomas and Patricia held their wedding ceremony on the golf course facing our garden gazebo. The rose bushes were just starting to bloom and the golf course looked emerald green. Patricia was stunning, hair and make up by Chic Salon and we loved her wedding gown. She looked so lovely – Thomas smiled as she approached the ceremony site.

The wedding ceremony was wonderful and contained a lot of humor. Shondra Jepperson set up equipment on the golf course for ceremony music and photographs were captured by Kip Rustenburg.

The rose petals placed on the aisle by Mountain High Flowers was made in the Superman logo. It was very unique and added a personal touch to the wedding. We loved all the special touches Thomas and Patricia added to their Sedona wedding.

Patricia and Thomas had so much fun at their wedding and so did all of their guests. We enjoyed hosting their wedding here at Poco Diablo Resort and hope to see them back at our resort very soon.

Al and Krissy’s April Wedding at Poco Diablo Resort in Sedona

April is one of the most popular months for weddings in Sedona and Poco Diablo Resort was honored to host the April wedding of Krissy and Al.  Poco Diablo Resort looked amazing for their special wedding with spring colors and flowers blooming; one reason that April is a preferred month for weddings. The climate is perfect with sunny skies and cooler temperatures.

We have been working with Krissy and Al for over a year planning their wedding at Poco. They live in upstate New York but love to visit Sedona whenever they have the opportunity. Their guest list included visitors from many parts of the country and everyone enjoyed our lovely town.

Their wedding ceremony was held on the golf course with lovely views of Elephant Rock. Guests could not have asked for a more beautiful day. The lovely flower arrangements were created by Kim Sutherland and her talented staff at Mountain High Flowers.

The colors were elegant and tasteful and we loved all the tulips that adorned the reception tables. Dancing took place on the Rose Terrace with a great selection of music played by Kevin Hoover with Pure Entertainment DJ.

We really enjoyed all the family and friends attending the wedding of Al and Krissy. They did so many fun things with their guests including jeep rides in Red Rock country.
