Saturday, October 23, 2010.  Poco Diablo Resort was happy to host the wedding ceremony and reception of Brooke Schroer and Mike Weston.  We had experienced an unusual amount of rainfall throughout the week but the skies cleared up on Saturday just in time for Mike and Brooke’s wedding. The wedding ceremony took place in the early afternoon while the temperatures were very comfortable and the lovely weeping willow tree was the perfect back drop to their golf course gazebo wedding ceremony.

Taltos Production’s photographer Michael David was on hand to capture the special moments while Schelli Rothi videotaped the wedding event. The flowers were arranged by Mountain High Flowers and guitarist Brian David performed ceremony music throughout the afternoon. The setting was beautiful and so was the bride.

Brooke walked down the aisle wearing a lovely wedding gown.  There were two adorable flower girls that scattered rose petals down the aisle. The ring bearer was very proud and happy to bring the wedding rings to the ceremony.

The wedding ceremony was performed by Pastor Dave Arden in front of the Garden Gazebo on the lovely golf course. Marcy and Jake had so many friends and family members attending the wedding ceremony, we nearly ran out of chairs!  There were many local faces in attendance. Photographs were taken by Robin French who received help from her husband John.

Taye and Ron Miget

Taye and Ron Miget

Sunday, October 10, 2010.  One of our favorite couples are Taye Padilla and Ron Miget, who decided to hold their Sedona Wedding at Poco Diablo Resort this past Sunday.  They were aware that they were getting married on the busiest wedding day of the decade, but they enjoyed a perfectly wonderful wedding without any of the problems that sometimes accompany a destination wedding.

Taye and Ron drove to Sedona from Illinois with their family and friends.  They were so excited to have their wedding in Sedona, Arizona. Taye’s beautiful wedding dress was made locally by Candace Walters, with Victorian Cowgirl.  Taye loved her dress so much and so did everyone who was lucky enough to see her wearing this amazing dress.  She sparkled in her wedding gown and Ron’s eyes glittered when he saw Taye walking towards him down the aisle accompanied by her son.

Guitarist Brian David performed wonderful music during the wedding ceremony while Pamela Duffy took amazing photographs of their wedding.  Amy Mills and Vicki Reitz with Bliss Extraordinary Floral created colorful floral designs for the wedding ceremony and reception. The setting at the golf course gazebo was perfect.  Following their ceremony, Taye and Ron escorted their wedding guests to the Canopy Patio where a delicious Wedding Brunch was prepared. Their family and friends enjoyed Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas while Brian David played music making the setting perfect.

One of the highlights of the wedding reception was the wonderful wedding cake created by Donna Joy, Sedona Sweet Arts.  Many guests mentioned that the wedding cake was the most delicious cake they had ever tasted!  Luckily, Ron and Taye was able to save their top tier for their one year anniversary.

Frances and Jonathan are expecting approximately 100 wedding guests for their destination wedding. Frances will be moving to Colorado shortly for a job transfer and Jonathan has mentioned that their friends are going to help take care of him while Frances is living out of state. Luckily, the drive to Colorado is not too difficult and they plan to visit each other quite often until their wedding planned for next year.

We received two thumbs up on the wedding tasting and look forward to seeing Frances and Jonathan again very soon.
