Sedona’s original resort, Poco Diablo Resort, has been helping wedding couples with their Sedona weddings for over 30 years. We must be doing something right! Even Lucille Ball’s niece held her Sedona wedding at Poco Diablo Resort in 1980. Over the years, we have developed wonderful working relationships with a variety of Sedona wedding vendors and no one can capture the beauty of a Sedona wedding better than a professional photographer.

Here in Northern Arizona, we are so very lucky to have a wide range of very talented and professional photographers.  Each one loves to shoot weddings at Poco Diablo Resort with its natural beauty and wide landscapes. The velvet green grass is amazing throughout the summer, highlighted by majestic trees, sparkling ponds and red rock views.  Wedding portraits at Poco Diablo live on throughout the years and you will be glad you had your wedding here.

Our evening wedding was the celebration of Laurie Gradisher and Calvin Pflaster’s wedding.  Following their breathtaking ceremony at Bell Rock, performed by Andrew Murphy with Heart of Sedona Weddings, the bridal couple and their guests proceeded to Poco Diablo Resort for their reception.  Guests enjoyed a delicious Mexican Buffet for dinner while they dined on the Canopy Patio.  It was a lovely evening and we enjoyed having them here with us. Their beautiful wedding cake was created by Donna Joy with Sedona Sweet Arts. Guests really loved the cake which tasted great.

Each one enjoyed a plated dinner followed by an elopement wedding cake created by Donna Joy, Sedona Sweet Arts. They had two cakes to delivered to us this evening. Treva's Father Steven Walks Her Down the Aisle

Monday, May 9, 2011 – Sedona, AZ.  We were thrilled to host the intimate wedding ceremony and reception of Treva and Matt this week.  We have seen them a number of times at Poco Diablo Resort and enjoyed spending time with them and their family.  Sunday evening, following their wedding rehearsal, guests enjoyed a western barbeque dinner on the Canopy Patio.  The weather was perfect and everyone was in great spirits, anticipating the excitement of the wedding on Monday afternoon.

The wedding ceremony took place in front of the golf course gazebo, set beneath a majestic weeping willow tree.  Each guest was able to get a front row seat for the ceremony, performed by Mike Van Ness.  Flowers were arranged through Bliss Extraordinary Floral and Taltos Productions covered the wedding photographically and by video as well.

The maid of honor was Lorien Van Ness, who was such a great help to the bridal couple.  Her three children participated in the wedding as flower girl and ring bearers. There was also an symbolic water and wine ceremony performed as part of the wedding ceremony.  Treva looked so beautiful as she walked down the aisle with her father Steven.  Her dress was amazing and she just sparkled with joy.

The spectacular wedding cake was made by Donna Joy, Sedona Sweet Arts. In addition to the hand made sugar flowers on the cake, the decor was similar to the lovely lace on Treva’s wedding gown. Everyone enjoyed the delicious cake as a special treat. Music played throughout the evening and a good time was had by all. We were so proud and honored to host Matt and Treva’s wedding at Poco Diablo Resort and we wish them much happiness.
