Rachel and Peter

Rachel and Peter

Saturday, October 22, 2011. Poco Diablo Resort looked amazing this afternoon for Rachel and Peter’s intimate Sedona wedding. The green grass was drenched in sunlight as a light breeze swept through the area. I think Peter and Rachel picked the most beautiful day here in Sedona for their wedding ceremony and reception.

The wedding ceremony was performed by Ken Froessel, Sedona Wedding Officiant. Ken feels quite comfortable at our resort and we are always happy to see him here. DJ Wabo set up classical music to play during the wedding ceremony as photographs were taken by Brides for Brides Photography.

Rachel and Peter had received a good amount of help from their family and friends with the decoration arranged for the wedding ceremony and reception. The theme was fall colors and fall foliage was abundant at the event. Colorful fall colored leaves covered the aisle as Rachel walked toward Peter at the start of their wedding ceremony.  She was so beautiful and her flowers were perfect for the occasion. Both Peter and Rachel looked very happy while they exchanged their wedding vows.

Following dinner and champagne, every one enjoyed the delicious wedding cake created by Donna Joy, Sedona Sweet Arts. The handmade sugar decorations were wonderful and the autumn there was strongly represented by the beautiful wedding cake.

Joseph and Heather

Joseph and Heather

Saturday, October 15, 2011.  Poco Diablo Resort and Sedona experienced a very busy weekend at one of the most beautiful times to visit our lovely town.  We were all mesmerized by the amazing weather we had this past weekend. Our two bridal couples were so lucky to get married on the most perfect Sedona day.

Heather and Joseph had a lovely morning wedding ceremony performed by Heather’s aunt Cathy. They shared in a personal sand ceremony with crystal glassware etched with their names and the date of their wedding. Guests watched as Heather and Joseph exchanged wedding vows beneath the majestic weeping willow tree. Following the wedding ceremony, Heather and Joseph stayed on the golf course as photographs were taken and their guests proceeded to the Canopy Patio for the Wedding Brunch. Following their wedding portraits, Heather and Joseph were whisked away by William, our concierge, to the Canopy Patio to join in the celebration of their union.

Purple was a prevalent color in the wedding reception.  Guests enjoyed the following items for brunch:

  • Freshly Baked Breakfast Breads and Muffins
  • Farm Fresh Scrambled Eggs
  • Applewood Smoked Bacon
  • Sausage Patties
  • Poco Breakfast Potatoes
  • Country Style French Toast with Warm Syrup
  • Sliced Fresh Fruit
  • Build your own Yogurt Parfait with Fresh Berries and Granola
  • Assorted Fruit Juices, Freshly Brewed Coffee

The wedding cake and cupcakes were a treat following the wedding brunch. There were so many personal touches to the wedding with the handmade table assignments and floral decor. Their family was very helpful in the planning and execution of the event. It was surely a wonderful experience and we were thrilled to host their wedding here at Poco Diablo Resort.
