Last June Poco Diablo Resort hosted the wedding of Jamie and Brad and we were thrilled to see them back at the resort this week celebrating their anniversary. Their lovely daughter Taylor has grown much taller in the past year, enjoying herself by the pool; a fun thing to do in the summertime. We love seeing our wedding couples returning to visit us and wanted to share some of their wedding photos with you. A special “thank you” to their photographer Brian Minson.

Saturday, June 16, 2012. Poco Diablo Resort hosted the beautiful wedding of Cassondra and Joseph this afternoon and we were happy to take part in their celebration. Rev. Tom Rollis performed the intimate wedding ceremony on the golf course at the garden gazebo. It was a lovey summer day here in Sedona with clear skies offered throughout the day.
The bridal party included three of the cutest little boys you have ever seen. They sure had an abundance of ring bearers to help out. The color theme was lime green and black which was the color scheme worn by the entire bridal party. They matched the lovely nature offered on the golf course with sparkling green grass and majestic trees.
Cassi was elegant as she walked down the aisle with her father. We loved the soft touch of the calla lilies she carried as she approached Joseph, waiting patiently for his bride. We could tell how much happiness was in the hearts of everyone present.
As the bride and groom took wedding portraits following the ceremony, guests proceeded to the Rose Terrace for appetizers and cocktails. The fresh fountain nearby was refreshing as music was played for all to enjoy. The Canopy Patio was decorated for the dinner celebration with lanterns of lime green as tables were decorated with lovely floral decor with the same color scheme that was prevalent throughout the wedding.
Guests enjoyed a delicious Italian Buffet accompanied by a champagne toast with loving wishes to the bride and groom. Joseph and Cassi was at the head of the patio sitting at their sweetheart table. Following dinner, guests enjoyed the lovely cake prepared for the special event by Deanna Collins with Creative Cakes and Desserts by Dena in Prescott.
Following dinner, dancing and celebration was enjoyed on the Rose Terrace throughout the evening. It was a great event and everyone enjoyed themselves. We wish Cassi and Joseph much happiness in their years together and thank them for allowing Poco Diablo Resort to host their amazing wedding. We will miss you both but hope you will return to visit us often.

One year has quickly gone by as we fondly remember two of our favorite bridal couples. James and Joy got married at Poco Diablo Resort on June 17th, 2011. Our local couple was great to work with and we are thrilled that we still see them around town. They incorporated Las Vegas with their wedding theme and the event was so much fun. Joy and James were thoughtful and we enjoyed the months that lead up to their special day. Click here to view more photos by Kraft and Company Photograpahy.
Rachel and Paul live in Chicago and they planned their special destination wedding here in Sedona. Paul’s father lives in Sedona so they had the advantage of having local contacts and on site assistance when needed. The celebration of Rachel and Paul’s union lasted the entire weekend starting with their rehearsal dinner in the Poco Diablo Ballroom that included all of their wedding guests. Saturday, June 18, 2011 they got married on the golf course facing Elephant Rock.
Dinner was served on the Canopy Patio where family and friends congratulated the bridal couple. Following dinner, guests went into the ballroom for fun and dancing with music provided by Bobby Russell, Sedona Sounds. The excitement continued with a lovely breakfast on Sunday morning giving everyone a chance to spend time with Rachel and Paul before they left on their honeymoon to Spain.
Having two amazing weddings in a row last June really brings back so many wonderful memories of two great couples in which we were honored to be a part of their celebration. Happy Anniversary from all of us at Poco Diablo Resort.

Friday, June 8, 2012. Today we were happy to host the wedding of Jack and Joanne here at Poco Diablo Resort. We first met Jack and Joanne in August of 2011 and were so pleased that they loved our resort. It wasn’t long after their visit when they decided to hold their special wedding at Poco.
We have enjoyed working with Joanne and Jack on their wedding. They had a clear vision of the kind of wedding they wanted and it was planned to be full of fun, family and friends! Among their invited guests were visitors coming all the way from Poland and they were all ready for a great celebration.
The wedding ceremony was held at the golf course gazebo which was decorated with lovely bridal garland. Rev. Andrew Murphy with Heart of Sedona Weddings performed the beautiful wedding ceremony beneath the weeping willow tree. Photographs were captured by Melissa Dunstan and Kristen Carnes with Melissa Dunstan Photography. We are so anxious to see the wonderful photographs of Jack and Joanne’s wedding taken by one of our favorite photographers.
You could not have asked for a more perfect Sedona day – clear and sunny, with a lovely breeze flowing throughout the afternoon and evening. The bridal flowers were arranged by Mountain High Flowers and they were dazzling and colorful. The theme throughout the wedding was creative and imaginative.
Music throughout the event was provided by Bobby Russell with Sedona Sounds. Guests enjoyed the ceremony music, cocktail hour entertainment and dance music at the wedding reception, inviting everyone to get up on their feet and have celebrate with the bride and groom.
A delicious dinner was created by Chef Felipe Felix and his talented staff. Guests enjoyed his signature fruit and cheese display during the cocktail hour on the Rose Terrace.
After proceeding into the Poco Diablo Ballroom, guests enjoyed an elegant plated dinner that included freshly cooked salmon, medallions of beef and chicken breast accompanied by chef’s assorted vegetables and scalloped potatoes. Each guest received a lovely favor personalized by Jack and Joanne. Each and every detail was personally addressed by the bride and groom. We loved the family wedding photos and the signature wedding tree for guests to sign.
With great music and fun, everyone had a wonderful time at Jack and Joanne’s wedding. The time flew by quickly after all the months of preparation and planning. The celebration will continue while they are on their honeymoon in Tanzania, Africa. We were honored to be a part of their special day and hope that we will see Joanne and Jack at Poco Diablo Resort often when they visit Sedona.
