Kimberly and Jeffery

Saturday, November 3, 2012.  Poco Diablo Resort was so pleased to host the beautiful wedding of Kimberly and Jeffery earlier this month. It had been a full year of planning for their amazing wedding and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more.

Beautiful Wedding Ceremony

Kimberly and Jeffery booked their venue back in November of 2011 and they knew exactly what kind of wedding they wanted. They loved the golf course with views of Elephant Rock and added lovely decor to the wedding ceremony to personalize the event. All the chair covers and ties were made by Kimberly’s mother and she did an outstanding job. We never saw the golf course more beautiful, as I am sure you would agree. Kim Sutherland with Mountain High Flowers did a great job with the colorful decor on the wedding archway. The setting was magical.

The ceremony was performed by their dear friend Matt in front of all their family and friends. Their professional photographer was Nia with Noyan Photography. They did a wonderful job covering the exciting event.

Guests proceeded to the Poco Diablo Ballroom for the cocktail hour and wedding reception. A wonderful surprise awaited them as they were in awe of the spectacular wedding decor arranged for the wedding reception. The mothers of both the bride and groom worked together to decorate the ballroom with custom linens and chair covers made by the Karen, mother of the bride. Individual handmade centerpieces showing the Autumn theme that was prevalent throughout the wedding were highlighted with hand embroidered wedding favors for all the wedding guests. There were so many personal touches and creative ideas contained in this lovely wedding, including branches and acorns from the family tree in Texas.

Guests enjoyed a our duo plate of Medallions of Beef paired with Grilled Breast of Chicken with Sweet Red Pepper Cream Sauce accompanied by Ancho Chile Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables. A special surprise for the groom followed the dinner arranged by bride Kimberly – two flavors of delicious gelato, Jeffery’s favorite.

Owner Michele Hoover with Pure Entertainment DJ played great music throughout the night and dancing was enjoyed by one and all. Kimberly and Jeffery danced up a storm showing their great ballroom dancing skills. While watching them, you were sure that they were having a great time.

The wedding treat was the beautiful fondant wedding cake created by Donna Joy with Sedona Sweet Arts. The four tiered cake was adorned with handmade branches and leaves in fall colors and topped by a lovely wedding topper. The evening was wonderful and it was truly a night to remember.

Our special congratulations goes out to Kimberly and Jeffery who were off to Hawaii for their  honeymoon following their amazing wedding. We can’t wait to see the professional photographs from Noyan Photography and will definitely share them with you once we receive them. We hope to see Jeffery and Kimberly back at Poco Diablo Resort very soon.

Rosie and Joey

Rosie and Joey

November 1, 2012.  Poco Diablo Resort started the month off with the lovely wedding of Rosie and Joey. We have worked with the couple for many months and were surprised how quickly their wedding day approached.

First Kiss as Mr and Mrs

First Kiss as Mr and Mrs

Throughout the months leading up to her wedding, Rosie came to Sedona a number of times to work on wedding details and linen choices. Each time, we enjoyed meeting with her and getting to know her in the planning process. She is a joy to work with and we wanted to make sure everything was just perfect for her wedding at Poco.

The wedding ceremony was held on the golf course with impressive red rock views. Following the ceremony, guests proceeded to the T-Carls Resort Restaurant for their intimate wedding reception. A delicious Italian Buffet was enjoyed for dinner followed by a beautiful wedding cake created by Donna Joy with Sedona Sweet Arts. The restaurant looked devine with the “pretty in pink” elements offered in the decor.

The intimate wedding ceremony was held at sunset on the golf course, in front of their family and friends on a perfect October day. Saturday, October 20, 2012. This wonderful October day in Sedona turned out to be a very busy day for Poco Diablo weddings. Although we already had two weddings and two receptions planned for this day, when Antoinette called and asked if we could host her wedding ceremony on this date, we didn’t have the heart to refuse her. You won’t find a more sweet bride and we just were so thrilled to host her wedding with the love of her life, Bobby.

There were so many additional touches incorporated in their intimate wedding. We loved all the beautiful decor and personalized items at the wedding ceremony. Their wedding coordinator, Laura Marolakos with Heart of Sedona Weddings, was a great help and worked her magic throughout the event.

The spectacular bridal floral was arranged by Kim Sutherland with Mountain High Flowers. Her professional photographer was Caleb Cooke, who we had worked with in the past. A string trio played lovely ceremony music while guests were being seated, enjoying the beautiful red rock views offered at Poco Diablo.

Following the ceremony, guests proceeded to the Rose Terrace for Margaritas and Sangria while Antoinette and Bobby posed for their wedding portraits.  It truly was a wonderful celebration of love and we were so honored to host their wedding ceremony here at Poco Diablo Resort.

Guests returned to our resort on Sunday morning to enjoy our breakfast buffet offering lovely views of the golf course and surrounding summits. It was a great opportunity for their guests to see Antoinette and Bobby one last time before they left on their romantic cruise, and to congratulate them on their union. We loved working with Antoinette and Bobby and hope they will return to Poco for their anniversary.

October 20, 2012. On the perfect autumn day in Sedona, Michelle and Paul held their lovely wedding ceremony on the Poco Diablo Resort golf course facing the beautiful red rocks of Sedona. There were a number of out of town guests that really loved their destination wedding and who can blame them. Sedona is the perfect spot for a wedding and Poco Diablo Resort is one of the most popular wedding venues in Northern Arizona.

One of the highlights was the caricature artist, Jeremy Drysdale, that the couple provided for their wedding guests. This was such a special treat for the wedding guests and everyone had a personalized caricature of themselves created at the wedding of Michelle and Paul. This sure was unique, enjoyable and thoughtful. We loved this idea of a wedding favor.
