Saturday, November 3, 2012. Poco Diablo Resort was so pleased to host the beautiful wedding of Kimberly and Jeffery earlier this month. It had been a full year of planning for their amazing wedding and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more.
Kimberly and Jeffery booked their venue back in November of 2011 and they knew exactly what kind of wedding they wanted. They loved the golf course with views of Elephant Rock and added lovely decor to the wedding ceremony to personalize the event. All the chair covers and ties were made by Kimberly’s mother and she did an outstanding job. We never saw the golf course more beautiful, as I am sure you would agree. Kim Sutherland with Mountain High Flowers did a great job with the colorful decor on the wedding archway. The setting was magical.
The ceremony was performed by their dear friend Matt in front of all their family and friends. Their professional photographer was Nia with Noyan Photography. They did a wonderful job covering the exciting event.
Guests proceeded to the Poco Diablo Ballroom for the cocktail hour and wedding reception. A wonderful surprise awaited them as they were in awe of the spectacular wedding decor arranged for the wedding reception. The mothers of both the bride and groom worked together to decorate the ballroom with custom linens and chair covers made by the Karen, mother of the bride. Individual handmade centerpieces showing the Autumn theme that was prevalent throughout the wedding were highlighted with hand embroidered wedding favors for all the wedding guests. There were so many personal touches and creative ideas contained in this lovely wedding, including branches and acorns from the family tree in Texas.
Guests enjoyed a our duo plate of Medallions of Beef paired with Grilled Breast of Chicken with Sweet Red Pepper Cream Sauce accompanied by Ancho Chile Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables. A special surprise for the groom followed the dinner arranged by bride Kimberly – two flavors of delicious gelato, Jeffery’s favorite.
Owner Michele Hoover with Pure Entertainment DJ played great music throughout the night and dancing was enjoyed by one and all. Kimberly and Jeffery danced up a storm showing their great ballroom dancing skills. While watching them, you were sure that they were having a great time.
The wedding treat was the beautiful fondant wedding cake created by Donna Joy with Sedona Sweet Arts. The four tiered cake was adorned with handmade branches and leaves in fall colors and topped by a lovely wedding topper. The evening was wonderful and it was truly a night to remember.
Our special congratulations goes out to Kimberly and Jeffery who were off to Hawaii for their honeymoon following their amazing wedding. We can’t wait to see the professional photographs from Noyan Photography and will definitely share them with you once we receive them. We hope to see Jeffery and Kimberly back at Poco Diablo Resort very soon.
