Over the Memorial Day weekend Poco Diablo Resort enjoyed hosting the wonderful wedding of Chris and Raquel. They were kind enough to share some of their wedding photographs with us and we would like to post them on our wedding blog for you to see. They were a lovely couple, very happy and full of fun. Their photographer Angelita Eaton did an excellent job and I am sure you will agree. We recently saw Chris and Raquel celebrating Chris’ birthday here in Sedona and they were still glowing from their exciting wedding and romantic honeymoon! Enjoy their beautiful wedding photographs.

This month we were pleased to host the wedding of Kathleen and Mark here at Poco Diablo Resort. The couple was fortunate to have family and friends that helped them with the wedding decor and other components of their event.
The wedding ceremony took place on the Poco Diablo golf course which was lush and green from our recent rain storms. There was a pleasant breeze during the wedding ceremony performed by Rev. Phillip Waring in front of the garden gazebo.
Kathleen looked stunning in her elegant wedding gown provided by Suzanne’s Bridal Boutique. Marked looked on with love as Kathleen walked down the aisle.
Ceremony Music was performed by Ray and Paul Van Diest who are the groom’s uncles. They had a lovely bridal party including their two adorable flower girls.
Their professional photographer was Laura Segall accompanied by second photographer David Wallace – Laura Segall Photography. We would like to thank Laura for sending her wonderful images of Kathleen and Mark’s wedding to us so we can share them with you.
Following the ceremony guests proceeded to the Poco Diablo Ballroom for cocktails and wedding reception. Banquet staff was on hand to serve guests a delicious dinner prepared by Chef Feilpe Felix and his staff to the wedding party and their guests.
Lots of dancing took place following the dinner and toasts. Disc Jockey Rod Pyburn played a variety of great music and everyone had a wonderful time.
The exquisite wedding cake was created by Donna Joy with Sedona Sweet Arts. The handmade flowers were spectacular and we just loved the wedding cake. Everyone enjoyed the wedding and helped Kathleen and Mark celebrate their marriage. Our heartfelt congratulations to Kathleen and Mark and thank you for allowing us to be your wedding host.

Poco Diablo Resort hosted the wonderful June wedding of Andrew and Marissa during the popular month that has always had a connection with Brides and Grooms. Love and romance was in the air in Northern Arizona. We really enjoyed working with Marissa’s mother April, learning of the many wedding plans they were working on since the bridal wedding couple lived out of state.
Their intimate wedding ceremony was held on the Poco Diablo golf course facing the garden gazebo. Marissa was so beautiful in her lovely wedding gown accompanied by her elegant wedding flowers created by Elaine Ashton with Always N’ Blume. The ceremony was performed by Chris Townsend and the music was provided by Chad Trappeur with All American DJ.
We were so happy to receive the beautiful photographs taken by Tiffany Harding and wanted to share some of them with you. I am sure you will agree that these lovely photos reflect the love and tenderness shared by Marissa and Andrew.
The wedding reception was held on the Canopy Patio with lovely views of the golf course. The couple loved Key Lime pie so pastry artist Donna Joy with Sedona Sweet Arts created a number of custom made Key Lime Pies with a Key Lime Pie “Cake” decorated with handmade sugar flowers for the couple as well.
Our heartfelt congratulations to Andrew and Marissa on their union and thank you from Poco Diablo Resort, your host.

Last month we very much enjoyed hosting the wedding reception of Jamie and Matthew in the Poco Diablo Ballroom. We have been working with Jamie and Matt for more than a year and we were surprised how quickly the months went by leading up to their wedding day. They were such a pleasure to work with and we valued their frequent trips up to Sedona during their wedding planning.
The wedding ceremony was held at Skyranch Lodge with lovely views of Sedona. The amazing floral arrangements were created by Amy Mills and her team at Bliss Extraordinary Floral. Jamie was stunning in her elegant bridal gown as Matt looked on, full of love and happiness.
Professional photographs were captured by Brides for Brides Photography. We hope to share some additional wedding photographs of their wedding in future postings. Wedding guests proceeded to the Poco Diablo Ballroom for cocktails and appetizers while Jamie and Matt were taking their formal wedding portraits.
The wedding coordinators were the talented team Star Struck Event Planning featuring owners Fetu and Clay. They did an outstanding job with the wedding decor and other wedding arrangements. We love working with them.
Guests enjoyed a delicious plated dinner prepared by Chef Felipe Felix and his culinary staff. Champagne toasts were made with much celebration. DJ Drea Strickler with Dessert House Productions played great music throughout the night as everyone danced up a storm.
Following dinner guests enjoyed a variety of freshly baked pies from Rock Springs Cafe including a delicious Jack Daniels Pecan pie served warm. It was a wonderful evening and everyone had a great time.
The lovely couple spent a romantic honeymoon in St. Lucia, well deserved after planning such a spectacular wedding celebration. All of us at Poco Diablo Resort would like to congratulate Jamie and Matthew on their marriage and our heartfelt thanks to both of them for allowing us to host their wedding reception at our resort. Come back soon.

Poco Diablo Resort certainly was busy over the Memorial Day weekend hosting three weddings during this holiday weekend. On Sunday, May 26th, we were excited to host the wedding of Maggie and Phil here at our resort. This was a celebration that actually followed their romantic wedding in Hawaii.
In Sedona, everyone got a chance to celebrate with Maggie and Phil who held their traditional wedding ceremony on the Rose Terrace, overlooking the lovely golf course.
It was a perfect May day when Maggie walked down the aisle with her grandson – Phil watching on as Maggie approached. Their family and friends enjoyed a lovely ceremony accompanied by music and song. So many personal touches were displayed in their wedding ceremony, surrounded by loving family and friends.
Following the wedding ceremony, guests proceeded to the Canopy Patio for a delicious brunch prepared by Chef Felipe. Guests enjoyed the table decor embraced by sea shells and Hawaiian flowers. We loved the fun sweetheart table and their representation of the Hawaiian Goose.
The beautiful wedding cake was made by Donna Joy with Sedona Sweet Arts. We loved the handmade bow sitting on the top tier of the cake.
There were a variety of toasts to Maggie and Phil from friends and family throughout the morning and into the early afternoon. Everyone had a wonderful time and we were so honored to host their special celebration at Poco Diablo Resort.
