Earlier this month we enjoyed hosting the wedding of Steve and Diana at Poco Diablo Resort. The timing of their wedding was perfect with fall colors and sparkling trees and grass – one of our favorite times of the year. Diana walked down the aisle with her two grandchildren as Steve looked on with love. The ceremony took place on the golf course with lovely views of Elephant Rock. Sunny and warm, the wedding guests witnessed this happy event.

Following their formal wedding portraits by Alayne Vogel, owner of Memory Layne Photography, Steve and Diana entered the ballroom with a spectacular dance presentation that was truly enjoyed by all – including all the staff at Poco Diablo Resort. Such great fun and wonderful entertainment – we just loved it!

Dinner was prepared by Chef Felix  and his amazing staff and everyone helped Diana and Steve celebrate their wedding vows. Dancing went on throughout the night and everyone had a great time. Guests enjoyed individual cakes following dinner and the fall theme was brilliant throughout the wedding decor. We loved having Steve and Diana here with us along with their astounding family. A special Thank You to Alayne Vogel for sharing the fabulous wedding photographs with us for you to enjoy!

Throughout the years we have discovered that October in Sedona is one of the most popular times of the year for weddings in our lovely town. The cooler refreshing temperatures are crisp with Autumn colors and there is a certain freshness in the air. Our post is a tribute to many of the wedding couples who chose October for their wedding at Poco Diablo Resort. Enjoy some of the fabulous photographs we have received over the past seven years.

September is one of the most popular months in Sedona for destination weddings and this year we were honored to host a number of amazing weddings at our resort. With the temperatures dropping and a crispness in the air, September is a perfect time to visit Sedona with your family and friends.

At this time of year, we begin to see fall themed decor in many of our weddings which is a welcome change from the warmer summer temperatures in Northern Arizona. Fall colors are a perfect enhancement to Sedona weddings, highlighting the natural colors of the area. Our golf course sparkles during this time of year and the trees begin to start their transformation in Autumn. Our outdoor patio at Poco Diablo Resort is the perfect location for a fall wedding reception offering terrific views of the surrounding summits and hills.

We received a few exceptional photographs from two of our popular photographers in the area. Heather Kadar captured the beauty of Ken and Chantel’s wedding earlier this month. We appreciate her skill and artistic touch on the wedding photos.

Mark Nelson believes in taking photos that detail the exceptional colors and emotions shared by wedding couples on their wedding day. Mark enjoys working with film for essentials in the picture. Mark captured the fun and enjoyment of Kellie and Jon’s wedding during the first weekend of September. A perfect day for their celebration.

Poco Diablo Resort started off the month of July by hosting the wedding of Kimberly and Stormen at our resort. We truly enjoyed working with Kimberly and Stormen as they such a considerate and sweet couple. Their intimate wedding ceremony was held at the garden gazebo on our golf course beneath our stately weeping willow tree.

There was a touch of “country” in their wedding and we absolutely loved Kimberly’s boots! While looking at the beautiful wedding photographs provided by their talented photographer Mark Nelson, you can see how much they enjoyed their celebration and the love they have for each other was shinning through on each image. We love the mix of color photographs and black and white imagery created by Mark Nelson and we highly recommend Mark’s services and artistic eye for weddings here in Sedona.

On the second Saturday in April, Poco Diablo Resort was honored to host the wedding ceremony and reception of Aleah and Bryan at our resort. We had enjoyed working with the couple and their families during the months leading up to their wedding. I believe everyone can agree that they had a number of outstanding professionals helping them with their dream wedding and it truly showed.

The wedding planner and coordinator was Amy Bacon, owner of Celebrations by Amy Bacon. She offered a number of excellent suggestions and recommendations that helped make Bryan and Aleah’s wedding perfect. Her assistants were on the spot each and every time they were needed making sure things proceeded as scheduled.

The professional photographer was Erin, owner of Erin Evangeline Photography. The photographs captured the love and jubilation shared by the wedding couple on their special day. We are so happy to present a number of outstanding wedding photographs on our wedding blog.
