September is one of the most popular months in Sedona for destination weddings and this year we were honored to host a number of amazing weddings at our resort. With the temperatures dropping and a crispness in the air, September is a perfect time to visit Sedona with your family and friends.

At this time of year, we begin to see fall themed decor in many of our weddings which is a welcome change from the warmer summer temperatures in Northern Arizona. Fall colors are a perfect enhancement to Sedona weddings, highlighting the natural colors of the area. Our golf course sparkles during this time of year and the trees begin to start their transformation in Autumn. Our outdoor patio at Poco Diablo Resort is the perfect location for a fall wedding reception offering terrific views of the surrounding summits and hills.

We received a few exceptional photographs from two of our popular photographers in the area. Heather Kadar captured the beauty of Ken and Chantel’s wedding earlier this month. We appreciate her skill and artistic touch on the wedding photos.

Mark Nelson believes in taking photos that detail the exceptional colors and emotions shared by wedding couples on their wedding day. Mark enjoys working with film for essentials in the picture. Mark captured the fun and enjoyment of Kellie and Jon’s wedding during the first weekend of September. A perfect day for their celebration.

Poco Diablo Resort started off the month of July by hosting the wedding of Kimberly and Stormen at our resort. We truly enjoyed working with Kimberly and Stormen as they such a considerate and sweet couple. Their intimate wedding ceremony was held at the garden gazebo on our golf course beneath our stately weeping willow tree.

There was a touch of “country” in their wedding and we absolutely loved Kimberly’s boots! While looking at the beautiful wedding photographs provided by their talented photographer Mark Nelson, you can see how much they enjoyed their celebration and the love they have for each other was shinning through on each image. We love the mix of color photographs and black and white imagery created by Mark Nelson and we highly recommend Mark’s services and artistic eye for weddings here in Sedona.

You can’t beat April in Sedona for beauty and springlike weather – the perfect recipe for a dream wedding in Sedona. The first Saturday in April, Poco Diablo Resort hosted the amazing wedding of Kiley and Aaron. We experienced decor we had never seen at our resort and it was stunning. Kiley and Aaron’s family worked in harmony to create the perfect wedding and you will see how their creativity played an intricate part in the celebration.

Their intimate wedding ceremony was held on the golf course facing Elephant Rock. The extra touches decorating the ceremony site were unique and extraordinary. Kiley’s bridal gown was incredible as she walked down the aisle towards Aaron.

Guests enjoyed cocktails on the Rose Terrace while wedding portraits were taken by Heather Marie Photograffi. Their professional photographs were astonishing as I am sure you will agree. Each photo reflected the love and happiness shared by all.

Wedding dinner and reception was held in the Poco Diablo Ballroom. Enjoying a delicious dinner prepared by Chef Felipe and his staff, the ballroom was elegant and brilliant.

Fun throughout the night with dancing and celebration. We loved having both of their families here with us and was honored to host the flawless wedding of Kiley and Aaron at Poco Diablo Resort.

Early in October, Poco Diablo Resort was happy to host the wedding ceremony and reception of Tyler and Tracee. It was truly a pleasure working with them on their wedding plans. Enjoying an outstanding October day, guests witnessed their intimate wedding ceremony on the golf course kissed by the Sedona sun on Elephant Rock. Tracee was stunning in her brilliant wedding gown. Their fabulous wedding photographs were captured by Heather Kadar Photography, one of our favorite wedding photography teams. The colors and angles of the wedding photographs were perfect and they truly captured the love and joy shared by the bridal couple.

Following the wedding ceremony, guests proceeded to the Rose Terrace for the cocktail hour. We love this time of day.

Dinner was held on the Canopy Patio, offering impressive views of the surrounding summits. Guests enjoyed a delicious entree and toasted to the bride and groom.

The evening cooled off and everyone had a great time. One lucky lady received the wedding bouquet from Tracee. Dancing the night away in celebration! It was a perfect day for a lovely couple and we were so honored to host their wedding at Poco Diablo Resort.
