October is an ideal time to hold your destination wedding in Sedona and our lovely bridal couple Krista and Nick got married mid-October, 2016. We loved hosting their wedding at Poco Diablo Resort and we wanted to share some of their beautiful wedding photographs with you. A special Thank You to Krista for sharing her professional wedding photographs captured by Photographers Jess and Gene – Birdsong Wedding Photography .

Their wedding ceremony took place on our lush golf course with Elephant Rock in the background. Brilliant colors were incorporated in the scenery touched by the amazing floral provided by Florist – Cultivated Events.

It was a perfect day for the outdoor celebration. Guests proceeded to the Rose Terrace for cocktails while Nick and Krista remained on the golf course for professional (and super fun) photographs.

Dinner was held on the Canopy Patio offering awesome views of the golf course and surrounding summits. We loved the color scheme and floral designs. Following dinner guests enjoyed a special treat with a variety of homemade Arizona pies from Rock Springs Cafe.

The fun went on throughout the night where guests joined the happy couple for dancing and celebration- Music was provided by DJ – the AZ Experience.

September is an ideal month to hold a wedding in Sedona due to cooler temperatures and the start of fall colors.  This past September we were honored to host the wedding of Ryan and Carley at Poco Diablo Resort. Our resort holds a special meaning to the couple since Ryan chose our romantic gazebo as the location for his proposal to Carley a year earlier. They knew they wanted to have their wedding ceremony and reception at our resort and we couldn’t have been happier.

Their beautiful wedding ceremony was held near our majestic weeping willow tree enhanced by their lovely floral design and tulle draping. The setting was lovely and Carley looked amazing while she walked down the aisle towards Ryan. Their rustic look included lanterns and flowers which bordered the aisle on this perfect September day.

Earlier this month we enjoyed hosting the wedding of Steve and Diana at Poco Diablo Resort. The timing of their wedding was perfect with fall colors and sparkling trees and grass – one of our favorite times of the year. Diana walked down the aisle with her two grandchildren as Steve looked on with love. The ceremony took place on the golf course with lovely views of Elephant Rock. Sunny and warm, the wedding guests witnessed this happy event.

Following their formal wedding portraits by Alayne Vogel, owner of Memory Layne Photography, Steve and Diana entered the ballroom with a spectacular dance presentation that was truly enjoyed by all – including all the staff at Poco Diablo Resort. Such great fun and wonderful entertainment – we just loved it!

Dinner was prepared by Chef Felix  and his amazing staff and everyone helped Diana and Steve celebrate their wedding vows. Dancing went on throughout the night and everyone had a great time. Guests enjoyed individual cakes following dinner and the fall theme was brilliant throughout the wedding decor. We loved having Steve and Diana here with us along with their astounding family. A special Thank You to Alayne Vogel for sharing the fabulous wedding photographs with us for you to enjoy!

September is one of the most popular months in Sedona for destination weddings and this year we were honored to host a number of amazing weddings at our resort. With the temperatures dropping and a crispness in the air, September is a perfect time to visit Sedona with your family and friends.

At this time of year, we begin to see fall themed decor in many of our weddings which is a welcome change from the warmer summer temperatures in Northern Arizona. Fall colors are a perfect enhancement to Sedona weddings, highlighting the natural colors of the area. Our golf course sparkles during this time of year and the trees begin to start their transformation in Autumn. Our outdoor patio at Poco Diablo Resort is the perfect location for a fall wedding reception offering terrific views of the surrounding summits and hills.

We received a few exceptional photographs from two of our popular photographers in the area. Heather Kadar captured the beauty of Ken and Chantel’s wedding earlier this month. We appreciate her skill and artistic touch on the wedding photos.

Mark Nelson believes in taking photos that detail the exceptional colors and emotions shared by wedding couples on their wedding day. Mark enjoys working with film for essentials in the picture. Mark captured the fun and enjoyment of Kellie and Jon’s wedding during the first weekend of September. A perfect day for their celebration.
