Jeanette and Mark’s Wedding Ceremony

Everyone knows that one of the most popular months for a wedding is June, the month that derives its name from Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage. It was thought that couples who married in June would be blessed with prosperity and happiness as Juno was the protector of women in all aspects of life, but especially in marriage. Jeanette and Mark held their Poco Diablo Wedding on the 2nd Saturday of the month and we were so happy to be able to host their beautiful wedding at our resort. We enjoyed working with them throughout the months leading up to their wedding day and were so excited when their wedding day was here.

Jeanette and Mark’s Wedding Ceremony

Their wedding ceremony was performed by Anthony Flesch beneath our stately weeping willow tree. One of the few gazebo venues in Sedona, our resort is very popular for weddings. The golf course looked green and lush and the sky was clear and blue.

We enjoy sharing some of their lovely wedding photographs with you and we wish them much happiness in their years together.

Valerie and Jason

We experienced so much excitement this past Memorial Day weekend here at Poco Diablo Resort while hosting the marvelous wedding of Valerie and Jason. The weekend started off with a fun Mexican themed rehearsal dinner on the patio. In addition to the tasty food prepared by our culinary staff, Valerie and Jason did a terrific job on the decorations and favors that were displayed throughout the event. This was a great kick off to an entertaining weekend of celebration and happiness shared by their family members and friends.

Mexican Themed Decor

The patio was immersed in bright colors and festive patterns accompanied by a variety of libations and refreshments. Games were played and accessories offered with an emphasis on their themed event. The golf course looked lovely as did the Canopy Patio and everyone had a brilliant time.

Dinner on the Canopy Patio

Their wedding took place on the following day – turning out to be a perfect Sedona day. The wedding ceremony was set up facing Elephant Rock, offering an outstanding back drop for the ceremony. Jason and Valerie were so happy as Ken Froessel performed the ceremony. Their superb wedding photographs were taken by Andrew Holman, one of our favorite photographers here in Sedona.

Cocktails were held on the Rose Terrace while wedding portraits were captured on the golf course. Chad Trapeur, owner of All American DJ and Director of Fun, entertained the wedding guests throughout the cocktail hour. Chad had a lot of fun planned throughout the evening including the enjoyable “air guitar” playing during the party. Chad played throughout the night and folks danced up a storm. We loved the exuberance and spirit of the evening.

An elegant plated dinner was served by the Poco Diablo banquet staff. Upgraded rental items including Chiavari chairs and charger plates enhanced the wedding reception. Soft and pastel floral centerpieces completed a remarkable finishing touch to the table decor. Brightened by the overhead lighting, our Canopy Patio looked stylish and outstanding.

First Dance: Valerie and Jason

Valerie and Jason did a great job with their wedding plans and it showed. We loved hosting their wedding and really appreciate all their hard work, making our job so much easier. We found their family and friends kind and thoughtful and we were so glad that they stayed with us over the holiday weekend. We did not want the evening to end!

Valerie and Jason

We hope to see Valerie and Jason back at our hotel each year for their wedding anniversary. They are truly our friends and are always welcome to our resort.
