Warmer temperatures were enjoyed the morning of their wedding and their brunch was great fun for all. We also enjoyed viewing their beautiful wedding photographs taken by their professional photographer By Rae Photography and enjoy sharing them with you on our wedding blog. On to 2018!

Kerry and Jim – Tangled Lilac Photography

Poco Diablo Resort was happy to host the special wedding of Kerry and Jim at our resort this past May. Enjoying the Memorial Day weekend, we hosted three weddings during this busy time of year. On Saturday, the wedding of Kerry and Jim was held on the golf course followed by their fabulous wedding reception on the Canopy Patio and Rose Terrace. It was such a fun wedding and their wonderful moments were captured by Melissa Dunstan, owner of Tangled Lilac Photography. We enjoy sharing some of their lovely photographs with you on our wedding blog.

Anthony Flesch performed their intimate wedding ceremony on the golf course in the shadow of our majestic weeping willow. The colors were outstanding as they spoke their wedding vows in front of their family and friends. Such a perfect May day, the sun was shinning down as Elephant Rock sparkled in the distance. Kerry was beautiful in her wedding gown as professional photographs were taken of their event and bridal party.

Following the ceremony, guests welcomed the bridal couple to the Rose Terrace as they danced to Chicago music wearing their Chicago Flag sunglasses. So much fun and special meanings throughout the reception. We loved all the Chicago mementos throughout the night.

Following dinner on the Canopy Patio, guests enjoyed the wedding cake after the fun act of cutting the cake took place. We loved the wedding topper too!

We were honored to host Kerry and Jim’s wedding at our resort and wish them many happy years together. Weddings at Poco – a night you will not forget.

Poco Diablo Resort is very lucky to experience the love and excitement of a Sedona wedding and Olivia and Jonathan’s wedding was one of our favorites! Although the couple planned their Sedona wedding from the East Coast, their destination wedding went off like clockwork. We truly enjoyed working with Olivia and Jonathan and we were absolutely thrilled that they chose our resort as their wedding venue. The wedding guests came from near and far and we were astonished by their benevolence and kindness that was shown to each one of us.

Jonathan and Olivia did a fantastic job with the design and theme of their wedding and we loved it. They incorporated their brilliant wedding colors in all their decor and ornamentation. The stunning wedding floral was created by Mountain High Flowers and was absolutely breathtaking.

Olivia’s hair and make-up was fabulous and our stylist Lindsay Roybal from the Poco Diablo Spa did an outstanding job. We love how Olivia sparkled on her wedding day in her sensational wedding gown. A perfect celebration with so much joy and happiness shared by all.

Formal wedding portraits were taken throughout the evening by Lia’s Photography who even dressed in the wedding colors. Husband and wife team Lia and Max were phenomenal and professional creating amazing photographs all night. We enjoy sharing some of them with you.

The wedding reception was held under the lights on the Canopy Patio. Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet prepared by Chef Felix and his staff. A great selection of music was provided by Bobby Russell, Sedona Sounds DJ, and everyone danced up a storm during the reception. You can see how much everyone enjoyed the evening. It was truly a wonderful celebration of love and marriage. Great family, friends and affection throughout the wedding event.

Boutique Day Spa at Poco Diablo Resort

In this day and age, everything seems to spin around faster and faster, yet it is important for us to find our own balance and take care of our physical and mental health. With the constant presence of cell phones, tablets, computers, and other technology that is designed to save time and make our lives easier, we sometimes get lost in the abundance of it. This lack of time sometimes dictates the brushing off of the little aches and pains with the hopes that they too shall pass.

Enjoy a relaxing facial.

The Spa at Poco Diablo Resort

In fact, the compound effect of the little incoherencies in our bodies takes a large toll down the road. For example, those who have a desk job, and spend a lot of their time in front of the computers, know all too well the tension that is gathered in the upper back, shoulders and neck. Add a few years to the equation without any solutions, and you get a constant aching reminder to take care of your body. As the muscle learns new “unnatural” behaviors, it gets harder for it to re-learn. What comes with time, goes with time – such is the complexity of our bodies.

The emergence of the Boutique Day Spas, like The Spa at Poco Diablo, seems to correspond to this “no time” trend, and brings a little more balance into our busy lives with a more down-to earth and service-centered approach that doesn’t take away too much time from your busy schedule.

Spa Services

Generally, the friendly and cozy atmosphere of boutique spas starts off your visit right, whether it is just a massage or a facial, or a whole Spa Day. Avoiding the overwhelm of large Spa gift shops and too many people, the main focus of boutique spas is generally on service and your relaxation. We, at the Spa at Poco Diablo, certainly take a personal approach to your visit, to help you take a step back, breathe and re-center. We also take care to wisely choose cruelty free, organic and natural products, giving you the best quality. Our Spa is perfectly located poolside at Poco Diablo Resort, a sort of a perk some boutique spas feature and most guests take advantage of.

So, remember that even with the time constraints, while we are tempted to say “I feel OK”, relaxation is paramount. Make some time for yourself by checking out some boutique spas in your area, and come say hello to us next time you’re in Sedona!
