Friday, September 30, 2011. Poco Diablo Resort was thrilled to host the wedding of Winnie and Sam here in Sedona. We have become very close to Winnie and Sam over the past year planning their wedding. There was not a detail that failed to be addressed by Winnie who did a wonderful job planning her wedding. She knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding and she did such a great job.
They have such a lovely story of how they rediscovered each other over the years. Their mothers are best friends and their dream was for Winnie and Sam to, one day, get married and now the dream has come true. Read about their love story on their creative wedding blog at My Wedding.com. They were really the perfect match!
Winnie and Sam enjoyed an exciting bridal party filled with many friends and family members – they were great and such help with the wedding. Bridal Party. The color of purple was featured throughout the wedding and each and every item matched with style and color.
Following the wedding ceremony, guests entered the Poco Diablo Ballroom where music and decor was waiting for them. Following their cocktail hour, guests were served a delicious plated dinner duo with Poco Diablo Chicken and Beef Medallions. The music was perfect throughout the evening and James Craig with Infinity Entertainment did a wonderful job with lights and decor as well. The guests were engaged with games and music, toasts and fun.
Photos were taken by Dee with Artistic Image Photography and the Honorable Claudette White performed the wedding ceremony. The beautiful and delicious wedding cake was created by Donna Joy, Sedona Sweet Arts. Butterflies and hand made sugar flowers were a highlight on the four tiered wedding cake.
We hope to see Winnie and Sam back here soon and we truly wish them much happiness. Thank you for allowing us to host your special wedding. We loved it!
The poco Diablo resort inspired many couples the weekend of October 01 2011. My now fiance proposed to me on a little extension bridge we found just wondering around down by the creek side of the resort. Later that night we had dinner at the restaurant and got a bottle if wine…our server was amazing….we took our bottle to our room and relaxed on our patio that was right infront of the willow tree and gazebo. A couple in robes walked along the path way infront of us and made their way to the gazebo where he got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. This was by far the most romantical weekend I’ve ever experienced. 🙂 I too am planning my wedding and no questions asked we want our wedding at the poco diablo resort!!!
